
Trinity Square Video and SAVAC are calling for members to submit new work for an exhibition at Trinity’s new gallery on the first floor of 401 Richmond Street West in Toronto from 6 July – 17 August 2016. Submissions will be selected by a guest curator, Maria Alejandrina Coates (bio below)
Both TSV and SAVAC are committed to the meaningful inclusion of diverse voices in their programming activities and encourage applications from artists of all cultural backgrounds.

June 26- 28 – Installation of exhibition
July 6 – Exhibition opening
August 18/19 – Deinstall

We invite artists to submit works for consideration. Submissions can cover all formats including painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, sculpture, performance, film, video, sound and new media installations.
Works must be produced during or after January 2014. Submissions from emerging artists, and students are welcome. Artist fees will be paid.

Maria Alejandrina Coates is a Uruguayan born, Toronto-based curator whose practice is focused on creating environments that can challenge, disrupt, and re-organize normative perceptions of reality and cultural identities. She recently served as Curator for e-fagia visual and media arts organization, as well as a Board Member for Gendai Gallery. She co-founded and currently contributes to the community based sos curatorial collective.
Maria received a bachelors degree from the University of British Columbia; and a Masters degree in Art History and Curatorial Studies from York University. She is a mother of two and maintains an active curatorial practice in Toronto, ON.
