CALL FOR APPLICANTS: X-Wave Mentor Series
Continuing with our workshop series for BIPOC creators, X-Wave is organizing a series of one-on-one mentorship sessions where creators can meet with established BIPOC industry mentors who will give personalized feedback on their projects and careers!
The X-Wave team at TSV will select five creators from any artistic discipline (including but not limited to: media arts, video, installation, VR, writing, and curation) and pair them with an experienced mentor for a duration of 3 months.
Mentors will meet with their mentee twice a month for one hour, at which time artists can review work, ask questions or discuss methodology and career trajectory.
To be considered, applicants must submit:
- A letter of intent, describing why they would like a mentor at this particular time in their career, how they will use the sessions and what artistic practice they will focus on
- A work sample or website
- A list of three favourite artists working in your chosen discipline

*This mentorship series is for any artist who identifies as Black, Indigenous or person of color. If you do not have work samples, you may still apply. Selected artists must commit to bi-monthly sessions, scheduled at a convenient time for both mentor and artist.
